Women's Poetry Workshop

8-Week Women’s Poetry Workshop, 12:00-2:00, Sundays, Online

‍ ‍

Women’s Poetry Workshop with Colleen Shoshana McKee, MFA

‍ Sundays, 12:00-2:00 PM Pacific Time, on Zoom (with a little break halfway through)

‍ ‍The 8-week class will meet from September 27th-November 15th, 2026.

‍ ‍

This Women’s Poetry Workshop is a generative class; the goal is to get excited not only about writing and reading poetry, but striking out in new directions in our work, thematically, tonally, and/or formally. I hope you will also learn new ways of recharging yourself as a writer and as a woman writer, and new ways of thinking about writing and your relationship to it. So that everyone may get plenty of feedback on her work, I cap the workshop at 4 women. Our women's class will be a safe, confidential space for women to share work and ideas on a variety of topics. The price is $360.00 for the entire 8 weeks.

‍ ‍

‍ Colleen Shoshana McKee, MFA is the author of seven books of poetry, fiction, and memoir. Her latest book, Feeding Ghosts, is a story about grief and cooking. Her book, Routine Bloodwork, was a finalist for the Charlotte Mew Award from Headmistress Press. She has been teaching, editing, and helping writers be at their best for over twenty years, working in universities, with small groups, and with individual writers one-on-one. To register or learn more about the workshop, contact her at colleenbethmckee@gmail.com. She’s happy to talk to writers about how she can best help them meet their writing goals.
